Dr Anderco was v Professional , empathetic and respectful of my elderly retired status as a medical colleague usually difficult patients! the consultation was skilled and she discussed my symptoms , worries past history in an unprejudiced manner as I was using medical jargon! and my opinion was also taken into consideration the next step was discussed and explained and after seeking my consent, Nasal endoscopy was carried out with care and in an experienced manner and with due regard for my comfort . Did not rush through the procedure . The Registrar sitting in the consultation with my consent was being taught and shown on video not only the physical diagnostic appropriate structures but also Patient communication , comfort care working as a team with staff as a doctor by example of a Senior and v experienced HOD and Staff working with Dr Anderco were pleasant helpful and happy working with her and attended to me the patient attentively Management plans were discussed and follow up to be arranged with results , availability of interim access too explained I Felt at ease from the beginning welcome till the end and very satisfied with the consultation The Registrar sat in the consultation with my consent . All seemed to be going well and at the close of my appointment the consultant asked me to have a blood test done outwith the Cathedral Also he advised that I should make an appointment for the operating procedure downstairs at reception. Circa end of April When I went to the desk I was advised that the member of staff was off that pm and I would receive a call tomorrow Next day I contacted my surgery about the blood sample and test. Late on my surgery called back to advise they were not willing to arrange the test as they were not treating me I received no call from Cathedrai that day The next day I waited to on and called Cathedral Spoke to Clare a few times and essence of conversation was that all was on hold as consultant on holiday and not available till 17th February Also no progress can be made with blood sample and rest even although I asked them to read my consultation notes !!! So I could comment more however this is the essence of a mot disappointing situation after my consultation

I cannot recommend Mr Shankar highly enough. From my very first appointment, he took the time to really listen and understand my situation rather than rushing through a standard consultation. He carefully explained the issues with my knee and the reasoning behind the arthroscopy, making sure I felt informed and confident about the plan. What stood out most was how thorough and attentive he was. He answered all my questions patiently and made sure I understood both the procedure and the recovery process. I felt genuinely supported and never like just another patient on a list. The surgery itself went smoothly, and the care before and after the procedure was excellent. I am very grateful for his expertise, professionalism, and the time he invested in understanding my individual circumstances. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing knee treatment.

Mr Farid truly went above and beyond for me. After being diagnosed with cholecystitis in December and spending a week in hospital, I was eager to seek quick help. Shahid came highly recommended to me - and I’m so glad he did! From the first consultation, it was clear that he was on the ball and was able to fit me in for surgery faster than I’d hoped. My initial hospital experience in December had left me a little shaken, but with Mr Farid I finally felt like I was in safe hands. My operation ended up being a little more tricky than anticipated (or so I’m told!), which makes me even more thankful that I went with a good surgeon. The experience at Spire Hospital Leeds was also top notch, with absolutely wonderful staff (and a great lunch menu!). Mr Farid checked in on me frequently on recovery, which was highly appreciated. I am now recovering well at home.

I recently had a PFO closure operation after discovery of a congenital heart issue with Dr Aggarwal. From consultation he explained everything and made me feel valued, allowing me to ask questions freely. I felt confident in his care and this continued to the day of the operation, where any fears were alleviated. I’m pleased to say he did an amazing job! Recovery was explained and I felt comfortable to ask anything. Dr Aggarwal’s medical secretaries are also worthy of a mention - their communication, friendliness and efficiency are second to none and I have been able to contact quickly at every need. Thank you for giving me a fixed heart. If I ever needed a heart operation again (fingers crossed we will never meet again!) I would be straight to Dr Aggarwal with no hesitation. I cannot rate the hospital highly enough following my recent operation. From the moment I arrived I was looked after by a number of staff members, all of who could not do enough to ensure I was comfortable, informed and had everything I needed. In particular nurses Damian, Sonia, Cindy and Salmon were wonderful, also the catering lady who's name i didn't catch, Steve the pharmacist, Mr Murray the anesthetist, and Mr Lewis the surgeon. All the staff were very friendly and relaxed which helped me settle in a situation I could have felt very uncomfortable and nervous in. Even though this procedure was covered by insurance I would not hesitate to self pay in the future if needed to have this level of care again.

The support at the very beginning when I was accessing the service was excellent - the person I first communicated with was helpful, gentle and kind. I felt able to ask questions and to access the support on my own terms. Getting a regular appointment that suited my needs and schedule was also easy - as a single parent, I really appreciate the flexibility. The portal took a little bit of getting used to but here too, lots of friendly support was available. The counsellor I speak to weekly is just brilliant. They are flexible and kind, and our relationship has evolved according to my needs. It's genuinely changed my life, and I couldn't be more grateful.

Overall, I had a good experience at the Fitzrovia Suite. The midwives were supportive, kind, and readily available, providing good care following my c section. I was particularly grateful for the overnight support. The team helped look after my baby, ensuring I was able to get much-needed sleep and rest, which was invaluable for my recovery. However, The handover process between midwives during shift changes could be better managed, as there were some gaps in communication between team members. Additionally, the catering was fairly average and quite rigid in terms of meal timings and available options, which could be more flexible.

So I wasn’t made ware how drastic the set up would be for my 2.5 year old toddler - actually quite a scary thing to deal with for such a small person, and had I’d known I would have managed him better leading up to it. I also had to calibrate a lead in middle of the night, and the surgical tape used did not come off easily so as you can imagine he was screaming when I was taking off the leads in the morning and there wasn’t any help with this - on his face/hair etc so it was very painful for him - it was actually horrible. Please give some ‘Eaze off’ to patients - or warn patients about this.
