I wanted to share & express my upmost gratitude for the treatment and care delivered to my son on 20th September 2025 who has Neurodiverse needs. Spencer hospital and all the staff were absolutely fantastic in supporting him through his recent gallbladder removal surgery. Every care and attention was given to him from the moment we were referred, to pre consultation and pre operative assessment to the moment he was discharged after a successful surgery. Mr Boshnaq and his medical team did an amazing job, reassuring us every step of the way and fully explained procedures and took their time to ensure we both felt comfortable. I really cannot thank everyone enough, nurses porters etc… This is what great care looks like and I wish every NHS experience could be as positive. Thank you, you made what could have been a terribly traumatic experience for my son into a calm and gentle process and I feel truly blessed to have such a great hospital, with caring and competent staff in my home town.

This excellent surgeon was able to make a clear diagnosis and formulate my speedy treatment plan ensuring that I was informed what to expect before and after surgery. His PA/secretarial team were efficient and mindful of my request to fit around a forthcoming holiday. I opted to self pay at Blackheath Hospital for day surgery and found the friendly manner of this surgeon and anaesthetist most reassuring when they met with me on the day immediately prior to my procedure with clear explanations of what to expect. I am delighted with the outcome and valued the further detailed guidance from Adel about removal of bandaging , resuming driving and attending the gym. As a retired health professional I cannot fault my experience in any way and can certainly recommend Adel for his specialist knowledge and expertise.

After waiting in reception I was taken upstairs for my details to be checked & the administering of eye drops to be started. The nurse kept an eye on pupil dilation & about 45 or so minutes later I was told it was fully dilated. I then waited in turn to be ushered through for a final pre-op check where the appropriate new lens was chosen & then taken through to the theatre. Although I was a little nervous it was checked I was comfortable & the whole process was explained throughout which helped massively. Afterwards I was offered a drink & biscuits while post op care was explained & a bag given to me with drops etc to be administered the following day. A copy of the letter being sent to my GP was given to me, then on leaving a follow-up appointment was arranged for 4 weeks ahead. All went exceedingly well.

Clayton Ward at Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea Hospital

I stayed in the Clayton ward post delivery of our second daughter this month. Whilst we had to wait a bit longer than would have liked to get to the room when we were in the service and quality of care couldn’t have been better. The midwives all helped me settle in right away and I was so comforted and reassured with the help I received. The discharge process was also incredibly easy and the checks given to both myself and our baby were excellent and everyone was so kind and helpful. Thank you to all the team couldn’t thank you enough.

Mr Sanat Shah was courteous and professional at all appointments. He explained the procedure well and happily answered my questions. The operation took place on the agreed date and on time. Mr Sanat Shah visited me in hospital following the operation to check on my progress and I had three follow up outpatient appointments. Since the operation my knee has healed without concern and the difference having the operation has made to my life is huge. I can now walk for longer, further and faster without pain. I am very happy indeed.

The Fitzrovia Suite was incredible from the moment I arrived in labor to our discharge. The midwifery team was wonderful - each and every one of them being kind, caring, calm, and reassuring. Every decision of my care was made collectively, and they helped the beginning stages of my recovery immensely. The space itself was clean, quiet and peaceful - an absolute pleasure to experience post-emergency cesarean. I would highly recommend the Fitzrovia Suite to others.

I was very happy with my treatment. Mr McFaul clearly explained everything and answered any questions I had before my surgery. On the day of my procedure he again explained everything and put me at ease. The operation went well and he checked on me afterwards to ensure that all was ok. I have since had final appointment with him and have been discharged. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.
