I have been diagnosed with resistant depression disorder and generalised anxiety disorder and had a recent dip on my mental health and requested urgent treatment. Dr. Sarkeel immediately moved my appointment to accommodate my needs to ensure that I had the appropriate care. Not only by being caring and treatment me with the upmost respect, but also by being one of my biggest cheerleaders and celebrating every milestone that achieve. Before contacting you, I felt I had nothing, yet in less than a year I was able to complete my thesis. It is something I could hardly believe. Thank you again for the kindness you have shown in helping someone like me. I am currently arranging my trip to Saudi Arabia next week on Wednesday, and I will return for graduation next summer. I would like to ask whether you recommend that I continue the medication. If so, my current prescription lasts month, I may need to request more, as I found that only the first medication I used is available in Saudi Arabia.

I had a lumbar microdiscectomy at St Anthony’s and the care I received was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were incredibly kind, patient and attentive throughout my stay. In the post-operation recovery area, the Irish nurse who looked after me was especially wonderful. I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name — I was still a bit loopy after the anaesthetic — but she was unbelievably kind, gentle and reassuring at a moment when I really needed it. On the ward, Rose was also fantastic. She checked on me regularly, made sure I was comfortable, and was so warm and supportive. Her kindness made the first night after surgery much easier. Overall, the team at St Anthony’s made what could have been a very stressful experience feel calm and safe. I’m really grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend the hospital.

I have been under the care of Professor Simcock for nearly a year following my breast cancer diagnosis. He is an excellent consultant that always takes the time to explain everything thoroughly and in a way that is clear and easy to understand. He also allows as much time as necessary each consultation to answer any further questions and listens and addresses them. He is up to date with all relevant recent research/ studies and is completely patient focused. It is also worth mentioning that he has an excellent medical secretary which means appointments, communication and contacting him if necessary is always prompt and straightforward . I feel very lucky to be under his care for my treatment as it has made a very stressful time much easier as I have total confidence in him as a consultant.

This time I had to have my gallbladder removed and hiatus hernia repair at the same time, and I felt completely confident in his care throughout. They made every step of the process smooth and stress-free, which made such a difference to my overall experience. Dr. Kariyawasam initially became my doctor by chance, as I needed an urgent appointment and she happened to be available. It is no coincidence, however, that she will remain my doctor moving forward. Her care is outstanding in every way.

Seeing my husbands, gashed and bruised face after a fall, when he lost balance, the lady there saw him immediately, help me persuade him to attend A and E, which he previously refused!! Took wonderful care of him, and gave us the most generous discount, because she felt he had been traumatised enough! We will certainly recommend your service. Also for people with less than perfect balance, it was so good to have a ground floor service. Thank you so much for such wonderful care, the lady there went above and beyond for us.

We attended a private consultation when I noticed my 3 month old baby had a lump under her eyebrow. I wasn’t satisfied with our GP’s advice / diagnosis therefore booked to see Mr Dharmasena. His secretary was great and organised a consultation the same week even on the weekend. Mr Dharmasena was friendly, professional and really reassuring and provided confidence during an anxious time that he knew what the problem was and can help our baby with her Dermoid cyst, Congenital craniofacial malformations, Orbital surgery.

After I got a PCO in my left eye I needed laser surgery. I had not been told this was common after Lens replacement by the opticians who did did that surgery so I was very worried about my sight. I contacted Cathedral Eye Clinic who assured me it was common and was easily corrected. They made an appointment and in less than an hour my sight was restored. I was dealth with by very friendly and professional staff and would happily recommend Cathedral Eye Clinic to anyone .

Overall I got what I needed which is all that matters ultimately. Found it annoying to have to fill in yet another paper form when I’d registered online as requested via email the day before. Yet another different NHS portal - the third I have had to sign up to. Was also not happy to be asked for a credit card when I was there as a fully insured patient. I was told it was ‘policy’ but when I said I’d rather not it no longer seemed to be policy.

I had two procedures at Ashtead Hospital and both were very good. Timely, calm, courteous and considerate. My only suggestion is that the need to wait about an hour for the pupils to dilate was not explained in the booklet. I knew second time around but found the wait on the first occasion slightly frustrating - simply because I wasn't expecting it. Otherwise, very good indeed.
