Doctify's race around the world

Raising funds to support the Little Miracles charity

Doctify is racing around the world in support of the Little Miracles charity

At Doctify, we are building a global healthcare review platform. Our network helps those with rare conditions to find the help that they need no matter where in the world they are.

Inspired by our colleague Paul, whose son Oliver suffers from a rare and complicated condition, we decided to come together and race around the world to raise funds to support the Little Miracles charity.

We will be running, walking and cycling, measuring every kilometre on the Strava app as we digitally travel from one country to the next.

This mission symbolises Doctify’s daily effort to help many more patients who find themselves in the tough situation that Paul and his wife Michelle found themselves in.

We had to face many difficult decisions about life and death with regards to Oliver. All we wanted was to talk to specialists who could help us make the right decisions. I joined Doctify to make a difference and I am so excited that we have all come together to race around the world.

Little Miracles

Little Miracles is a charity supporting families that have children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions.

Just like everyone else, these children need a place to play, laugh and create friendships. Little Miracles provides them with this while also giving their families a place to access the advice, support and care that they deserve.

With the funds raised through Doctify’s Race Around the World, Little Miracles will be able to fund a family support worker. This person will give front-line support to families, providing them with access to financial planning and advice, food parcel deliveries and referrals to counselling and child support teams. The family support worker will also manage a team of trained volunteers, helping 1,500 families a month.

At Doctify, our mission to improve patient care is weaved throughout everything we do. When Paul joined the team we had a real-life reminder of how very important our mission is. “As a team we’ve done lots of fun challenges and activities focused on nurturing our mind, body and spirit. When deciding on our next team activity, we took inspiration from Paul, his family and their moving story. It inspired us to focus not only on our fitness, but also on putting our feet on the street to support all of the Little Miracles in our lives and for our patients’ loved ones too.
