Doctor Banerjee was friendly, efficient and thorough, as were the reception staff.

Able to park- though sometimes busy. Reception always manned, usually by two. They always know where to send you. Everyone is always friendly.

Very pleasing overall

I decided to have Blepharoplasty on my upper eyelids. After looking through all the consultants I decided on trusting the capabilities of Mr Michael Roberts. During my first consultation he put me totally at ease & explained the procedure involved & what he thought I would gain & would be best for me. Due to the hospital being MRSA free, I was required to book a swab test a week before my op. On the day of my op, I had a covid test & after a neg result was then allowed to wait in the Day care waiting area. Mr Roberts explained the procedure again & what to expect after the operation with regards to swelling & bruising. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff whilst I was waiting & was given a coffee & a few biscuits. When it was my turn, I was taken to the theatre by a very friendly young man Niall, he put drops in my eyes & we chatted away until the theatre was ready. In theatre all the staff were lovely, but especially sister Rosie who chatted to me all the time & even offered to hold my hand as I was awake for my procedure. Mr Roberts explained every step of the operation & made me feel at ease. There was music on in the background which was relaxing. After my op had finished I was taken back to the Day care unit & needed to wait for an hour with compresses on my eyes, so although I couldn't see anyone, all the staff ensured I was OK & again another cup of coffee & biscuits. After the hour Joanne took the compresses off & made sure the wounds weren't bleeding, along with explaining my aftercare before discharging me with my meds. 2 weeks later back to have my stitches out, which were taken out by Mr Roberts himself & a very pleasing result. Mr Roberts is a totally open & honest consultant & I am so pleased I chose him to do my surgery. The staff at St Joseph's are all very friendly & welcoming & would definitely recommend St Joseph's hospital.

All the surgeons and staff were very friendly and helpful. Came to check frequently if I was ok before and after the procedure.
