From the moment she introduced herself, Miss Witherow was warm, attentive and sincere. The way she positioned herself throughout our discussion fostered a feeling of mutual cooperation and I quickly felt very comfortable discussing delicate, personal concerns that Miss Witherow addressed with sensitivity, nuance, and compassion. She conveyed an ideal amount of technical detail that gave sufficient weight to the procedures being discussed whilst simultaneously contextualising the information in a way that was accessible and understandable so that a thoroughly informed decision could be reached. Miss Witherow was able to answer every question I had, in as much detail as I wanted, and drew attention to important factors I hadn't previously considered. She was happy to share before and after pictures of procedures she had performed, which were extremely helpful. Miss Witherow's expertise as a leading figure in the spheres of orthognathic and cosmetic surgery was highly evident throughout, and it was clear that she was guided not just by measurements and normative ranges, but had an artistic eye that embraces and uses the pre-existing strengths of a patient's unique facial structure in the planning of any treatments to create the optimal, most harmonious aesthetic outcome. Above all, Miss Witherow's communicative style was remarkably friendly, inclusive, and respectful, which enabled a genuine, 'patient-driven' dialog in which I felt able to properly and easily express my perspectives, preferences, and treatment goals. I left my consultation feeling validated, informed, and optimistic. Her follow-up clinic letter confirmed that Miss Witherow had indeed understood my concerns and objectives exactly, and provided a helpful, concise reiteration of all the options available to me. I would not hesitate to recommend Miss Witherow to other patients, particularly those who are shy, nervous or generally unsure about the specifics of which treatments would be most suitable for their situation. I have no doubt that I will return to Miss Witherow for my surgery in the near future.
