Although I had a very positive birth experience with my private obstetrician and the one-on-one midwives that were provided, at the end of the day the room supplied was in the general NHS ward, which is fine, but it was not clearly stated that that is where the “rooms” are for private births at Kings and to be honest, the rate charged to effectively be in a general public ward I felt was quite high. We were also called the day before a scheduled c-section and told that we were going to have to pay several thousand more pounds to have our scheduled c-section which was false and our private obstetrician had to sort it out but ultimately it added an unnecessary level of stress just before our birth.

Extremely efficient practice! Great availability of appointments, which always ran on time. I greatly appreciated the level of detail and support provided by Professor Sandhu's PA, Radka. She always provided email confirmations with a good level of detail about upcoming appointments. She also arranged appointments with other providers that were required which was hugely helpful. Letters were sent in a timely manner and documented my appointments accurately. Friendly, pleasant and I always felt in good hands at this practice!
