I came to Professor Vassilis Hadjianastassiou for a second opinion. Thanks to him, I realised that the benefits of intervention did not outweigh the risks (in my particular case) and therefore decided against treatment for my varicose veins. I am very grateful for his thoroughness and honestly.

Everytime he came to see how I was progressing, still in hospital, post op, he listen intently to how I was feeling, not just physically but mentally as well and showed me so much compassion, love and care, even on Christmas morning the Prof came in to see how I was doing, he didn't need to, when many had finished work for the holiday. An absolutely amazing surgeon who I have since recommended to a number of people. I had total faith in his skills and knew that I would be in safe hands and receive the best possible care. The aftercare has been outstanding - there were times when I would send an email on a Saturday evening not expecting a reply until the Monday and had an immediate response. He is very accessible and thorough too. One of the best surgeons I have encountered.
