Dr Amit Allahabadia is a Consultant Endocrinologist with clinics based in London and Sheffield. Since graduating from the University of Glasgow in 1991 he has gone on to be awarded a postgraduate MD for his investigations into the clinical and genetic factors leading to the development of autoimmune thyroid disease. With substantial clinical experience managing a variety of endocrine diseases, he has a specialist interest in thyroid disorders working as a Consultant Endocrinologist within a large tertiary Endocrine Centre at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

He leads the provision of thyroid follow up services and radioiodine treatment for benign thyroid disorders and sees referrals from a wide area including patients with thyroid nodules, hyperthyroidism, goitre and subclinical thyroid disease. John Miell is a Consultant Physician & Endocrinologist who qualified (BM BCh) in
1982.

He studied endocrinology at three major international centres; St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, King’s College London and University Hospital, Geneva and was awarded DM for research in 1990.

As a Wellcome Graduate and an Advanced Fellow he ran a research group at King’s which was funded by grants from the MRC, Wellcome Trust, Fetal Medicine Foundation, Linbury Trust and the KCL JRC totalling approximately £3m.

He has over 100 peer reviewed papers, reviews and book chapters and recently authored a textbook of Endocrinology which is on the reading lists of many major schools in the US and UK.

and Edinburgh in 1999.

He runs the Metabolic Medicine Unit and continues to practice general acute medicine leading a team of junior trainees.

management. He sits on the exam board of the RCP SCE and was previously training programme Director (JCHMT) and regional specialty advisor (RCP). He remains a Royal College examiner and was previously senior external examiner for St George’s Hospital Medical School

Professor Pierre-Marc Bouloux has been the Director of the Center for Neuroendocrinology, at the Royal Free Campus University College London (UCL), England, since 1991. He also practises at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery , ans has been the senior  consultant in endocrinology for the Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust. He qualified as a doctor in 1977 and he is widely experienced as an endocrinologist, author of several books on endocrinology and general medicine, including 'Diagnostic Tests in Endocrinology and Diabetes', Endocrinology in Clinical Practice, as well as several textbooks  of undergraduate  medicine.
