Mr Michael Oko qualified in 1986. He started his training in London, at both St Mary’s Hospital and the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital. In 1995, he was one of only twelve trainees to reach the final for the ‘Surgeon in Training Award’ for instrument design and innovation, organised by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. Since 2005, he has worked as a Consultant ENT surgeon within the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (ULHT). He acted as Clinical Lead for ENT from 2007 to 2011 and Clinical Lead for General Surgery from 2009 until 2011 at ULHT.

Mr Oko has a keen interest and expertise in sleeping disorders, including sleep apnoea. In 2006, he founded the Snoring Disorders Centre based at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston and then opened satellite clinics at Johnson Hospital in Spalding. Mr Oko’s revolutionary sleep service at ULHT won the NHS East Midlands Healthcare Award for service transformation. He then went on to win the Middle East Hospitals Award for Respiratory Excellence in 2011 for raising awareness of sleep apnoea. Mr Oko has an active role in campaigning for improved research and services for sufferers of sleeping disorders.

Mr Alasdair Mace is an experienced senior Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist practising in London, UK. He has a passion for excellence and providing the highest possible quality of care.

His subspecialist areas of expertise include throat, swallowing & voice disorders, tonsil problems, neck lumps, nose and sinus issues, ear infections & wax and mouth problems. In addition to this Mr Mace sees all general ear, nose and throat problems in adults and children.

When he returned to the UK in 2008 Alasdair was awarded the position of Royal College of Surgeons Senior Fellow in Laryngology. He developed advanced skills in the management of voice, airway and swallowing disorders.

He has published nearly 40 academic papers and 3 book chapters, and teaches on a number of national and international medical courses. Mr William Grant is a Consultant ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) Surgeon. He qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1984 and then completed a registrar training program in Dublin. He complete a Masters Degree in Surgery, MCh, in London, before undertaking Senior Registrar Training in the Royal Free and Royal Surrey County Hospitals. 

He was initially appointed to the post of Consultant ENT Surgeon with special interest in both Rhinology and in Head and Neck Surgery to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in 1996. He returned to London in 2001 to take up a post at Charing Cross Hospital and at Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals in London. As Clinical Lead for ENT, he oversaw the amalgamation of the ENT Departments  at Charing Cross and St Mary's Hospitals to form the Imperial College Hospitals NHS Trust ENT Department in 2009, where he continued in this role until 2011. 

An extremely skilful surgeon, Mr Grant has undergone extensive training in a myriad of ENT procedures. Much of Mr Grant's training was in laser techniques in head and neck surgery at the prestigious Laser Centre of University College London Hospital. In 2001 he was appointed as a Consultant at Charing Cross/Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals, where he continues to practise today. Alongside his strict clinical work, Mr Grant focusses much of his time in research, exploring the specifics of sinus surgery applications and endoscopic anterior skull base surgery.

Mr Grant is very happy to see and advise adult and paediatric patients with any Ear, Nose or Throat or salivary gland disorder. 

He has particular interests in all aspects of nasal and sinus surgery, and in paediatric ENT surgery. Mr Khalid Ghufoor graduated from the Royal London Hospital School of Medicine in London in 1990 and gained Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons in 1995. He trained in Otolaryngology, working in several ENT departments in North London, where he developed specialist skills in minimal access surgery for cancers of the larynx, pharynx and oral cavity. Mr Ghufoor also worked at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Dr Ghufoor took on a Consultant role at St Bartholemew's and the Royal London Hospitals in 2002, and he is now Lead Clinician and Head of the ENT, Head and Neck Surgery Department at St Bartholemew's Hospital.
