This is the largest clinical dermatology department in the UK. It opened in 1868 and is now one of the world’s leading centres for patients with skin problems. 

Nisith entered medical school with a British Medical Association scholarship and graduated with class and national prizes. He went on to train in the UK, USA and Canada and completed additional fellowship training in complex skin surgery, particularly Mohs micrographic surgery, lasers and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. He won an award at the American Academy of Dermatology for research in melanoma skin cancer.

Dr Christos Tziotzios is a Consultant Dermatologist and Senior Lecturer at St. John's Institute of Dermatology, Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, London. His PhD research at St. John’s has culminated in high-impact publications, including an original article in Nature Communications, and several distinctions such as the British Association of Dermatologists Whimster Prize, the Royal Society of Medicine (Dermatology) Research Prize and the NIHR/BAD Award.

He remains active in basic and clinical research: he has recently been awarded the Britisk Skin Foundation Young Investigator Award and leads a UK-wide research consortium investigating lichenoid, scarring and alopecic disorders. He is also the National (UK) Chief Investigator for the ALLEGRO studies into a novel and promising class of medicines for alopecia areata.

Dr Tziotzios teaches undergraduate and postgraduate (MSc) students and supervises PhD research at King’s College London, whilst is regularly invited speaker in local, regional, national and international scientific meeting
