Dr Abha Gulati studied medicine at University College London where she was also awarded a first class honours degree in Physiology and Pharmacology. She started her speciality training in dermatology in 2003 and it involved training at several London teaching hospitals, such as Bart’s Health, Hammersmith & Ealing, Chelsea & Westminster and University College Hospitals. During this training, she completed a PhD study at Queen Mary University of London concerning he early changes in skin cancer development and impact of common treatments. Additionally, she was also a Academic Clinical Lecturer at this university, being involved in improving education and early recognition of skin cancers. 

Currently, Abha is the lead clinician for skin cancer services and dermatology teaching lead at Homerton University Hospital. On completion of his undergraduate studies in 2002 at University of Hong Kong, Dr Alvin Lee came to the UK and obtained Master of Science in Clinical Dermatology from King's College London in 2005. During his masters degree, he trained at the prestigious St John’s Institute of Dermatology and completed a graduation thesis on “Lasers in Dermatology”.

In 2008, Alvin was appointed as the teaching fellow for Queen Mary University of London, where he was responsible for the education of aspiring doctors in clinical dermatology, as part of a postgraduate course. Additionally, he was also an examiner for the undergraduate final year medical students, as well as a teacher and lecturer on topics such as acne and eczema. 

During his training, Alvin received extensive training in general dermatology, advanced cutaneous surgery, dermatopathology, atopic eczema, psoriasis, cutaneous lymphoma and paediatric dermatology. His research interests include topics such as “Microwave & cryotherapy induced histological, immunological & cytotoxic changes in human skin” and “Squamous cell carcinoma of the pinna: which histological features could be used to predict prognosis?", topics on which he has presented nationally. 

Currently, Alvin is working as a Substantive Consultant Dermatologist at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He is a member of several associations and societies, including the British Association of Dermatologists, International Society of Dermatopathology, British Society of Dermatopathology, Royal College of Physicians, British Medical Association and regional Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.

Dr Bhargava obtained his MBBS from University College London, graduating in 2003 and earning several academic prizes. After completing membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2006, Dr Bhargava undertook speciality training at St John's Institute of Dermatology, leading to entry on the Dermatology Specialist Register of the General Medical Council in 2012. Subsequently he completed a Joint Royal Colleges approved Fellowship in Mohs and Advanced Dermatologic Surgery before taking up his role at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospital and setting up the Mohs surgery service. He has gained further experience internationally, including in the United States, Canada, and mainland Europe. Dr Amélie Seghers is a board-certified consultant dermatologist (MD, MSc, MRCP(UK), CCT (derm). She completed her Medical Degree in Belgium and holds an additional Master of Science in Clinical Dermatology from King’s College University London. She subsequently trained and worked for over 10 years in general/internal medicine and dermatology in Belgium (Gasthuisberg, VUB, Middelheim), London (St John’s Institute of dermatology, St Georges Hospital, Royal Free Hospital), Singapore (National Skin Centre, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital) and Switzerland (CHUV).
