Dr Tari is a Consultant Psychiatrist working in both the NHS and the private sector. He qualified as a doctor in 1997, initially working as a General Practitioner (GP) and then in various specialities for a number of years before specialising in psychiatry, which provided him with an in-depth understanding of the impact of physical health on a person’s mental health and vice versa.

He completed his post-graduate psychiatric training at Central and Northwest London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) and from 2015 to 2018, he was appointed as a substantive Consultant Psychiatrist at Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Tari was a clinical lead for an in-patient team delivering complex psychiatric and psychological care to acutely unwell patients who suffer from severe mental disorders.

Dr Tari then worked as a substantive consultant for East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) as a clinical lead for a community mental health team from 2018 to 2020. He was also the Associate Clinical Director and lead consultant for local community mental health teams working to deliver complex psychiatric and psychological care to patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions ranging from depression and anxiety disorders to psychotic, bipolar and personality disorders. Dr Tari was the lead consultant for Adult ADHD Service in Luton and Bedfordshire.

He joined Private Hospital in January 2020 and currently works as a clinical lead for a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). He also works as the lead consultant for Bedfordshire Adult ADHD Service.  

He also has a keen interest in teaching, frequently teaching medical students, Foundation Doctors, Psychiatry Trainees and speciality doctors in his NHS Trust and at the Private Hospital.

He is a clinical supervisor to higher, core trainees and speciality doctors.

Dr Hanaa Soliman has worked as a consultant psychiatrist in general adult psychiatry working for Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust since 2003.

Dr. Abdelghani is the Lead Consultant Psychiatrist for the TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) service and the Adult ADHD service at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust and he is also a Consultant Psychiatrist in CDAT (Complex Depression, Anxiety and Trauma) Service in the same Trust.


Dr Mohamed Abdelghani is one of the pioneers of introducing TMS in UK clinical practice. In 2016 he founded the first clinical TMS in the NHS in London and South England at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust and he continues to lead this service until the present time. In 2017 he became the first British doctor to be elected as a director of the Clinical TMS Society and he was re-elected to this position in 2020. The Clinical TMS Society is the largest professional organisation of TMS clinicians in the world. In 2019 he became the first person from outside North America to be elected to the Executive Committee of the Clinical TMS Society when he was elected as Secretary of the Society. In May 2018 he was awarded the Clinical TMS Society President’s award for his dedication, collaboration, efforts and leadership to advance the ideals of the Society. At the present time Dr Abdelghani is the chair of the Outreach Committee in the society in addition to being a member of the Educational Committee. He gives lectures and hands-on-training both nationally and internationally on the topic of TMS and neuromodulation. He is a faculty member of the PULSES TMS training course that is delivered by the Clinical TMS Society in different countries.

In 2009 he became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and in 2012 he obtained MSc in Clinical Neuroscience from King’s College London. After finishing his higher psychiatry training at SLaM he worked as a consultant psychiatrist for almost a year at the same organization before taking on his current post a Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust with the aim of developing special depression services.
