Mr Hove graduated with a 1st class degree from the University of Liverpool in 2002. He began his Ophthalmology career in Eastbourne as a Senior House Officer followed by a rotation through St Thomas Foundation University Hospital. Having gained his MRCOphth he then spent 2.5 years at Moorfields Eye Hospital as a Cataract Research Fellow doing research on multifocal lenses leading to a MD qualification.

    Mr Athanasios Vergados is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon working for the Barts Health NHS Trust since 2017 and is currently working at Whipps Cross University Hospital as a Glaucoma specialist and at Newham University Hospital as the Glaucoma Lead.

    Mr Vergados qualified in Medicine in 2004 from a renowned university in Northern Italy, University of Brescia.     Mr Henderson is a Ophthalmic retina specialist and consultant based at both Moorfields Eye Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital. He is part of the vitreo-retinal team and performs both adult and children's retinal and cataract surgery.

    His research covers the genetics of inherited retinal diseases and he was part of the team that performed the first ocular gene therapy trial in the world. He now runs the LUXTURNA gene therapy programme at both hospitals. His current research is into the retinovascular diseases of childhood.
