Dr Thakkar Pinkesh is a Specialist General and Laparoscopic Surgeon at Medeor 24x7 Hospital Dubai. He acquired his medical degree at B.J. Medical College, India in 2001 and later completed a Master of Surgery degree in General Surgery at the same university in 2005.

After qualifying, he completed further postgraduate training, undertaking a Fellowship in Surgical Gastroenterology and Liver Transplantation at Sir Gangaram Hospital in New Delhi, India. He also trained extensively in colorectal surgery and was awarded a Diploma in Proctology. Recently he is awarded with Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS).

Dr Pinkesh is known for his warm demeanour and personality that soothes the worries of his patients. He has special interests in advanced laparoscopic surgery (e.g. cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia surgery, achalasia and hiatus hernia surgery and colo-rectal surgeries ), liver and pancreas surgery as well as proctology and varicose veins. In his clinical practice, he provides services for the treatment and management of hernia, anal fistula, pilonidal sinus, constipation, piles, varicose veins LASER surgery, gastrointestinal surgeries and hepatobiliary surgeries. He also has expertise in thyroid surgery, breast surgery, laser surgery and both upper & lower GI endoscopy.

Dr Pinkesh holds professional memberships with the Indian Medical Association, Association of Surgeons of India and the Association of Minimal Invasive Surgeons of India.
