About Dr. Shawket Alkhayal
Dr Shawket Alkhayal is a UK-trained, board-certified Consultant Urologist and Andrologist with over 30 years of clinical experience. He obtained his medical degree (MBChB) from Baghdad University in 1991 and completed his postgraduate training in the UK, including the PLAB (1998), MRCS (2001), and FRCS (Urology) in 2008. He also holds a Master’s degree in Urology from University College London (2004) and received his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Urology in 2009.
Dr Alkhayal held senior roles in the UK, including Head of Urology at Benenden Hospital in Kent and Honorary Consultant at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals. He also lectured at Sussex University Medical School. In 2013, he relocated to Dubai to lead the Urology Department at the American Hospital. He later founded Al Khayal Medical Centre, which merged with Novomed Centres to form the Novomed Men’s Health Clinic.
He currently practices at Novomed Surgical Hospital and the American Hospital Dubai. His clinical expertise covers urological and andrological conditions including kidney stones, prostate issues, erectile dysfunction, penile conditions, urinary disorders, and male infertility. He is a member of multiple professional bodies, including the European Association of Urology and the International Society for Sexual Medicine.
