Dr. Raashid Intesar Shahbazi

Dr Raashid Shahbazi is a highly experienced UK Board certified Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at Saudi German Hospital Dubai. He trained in the UK and has 29 years of experience. Dr Shahbazi also serves as the Head of Department of Surgery at Saudi German Hospital Dubai.

Dr Shahbazi has previously served as Chief of Vascular Surgery at Tawam Hospital Al Ain, UAE and was also the Chair of the Department of Surgery there.

Dr Shahbazi is interested in a range of areas including carotid artery disease, aortic occlusive and aneurysmal disease, vascular trauma, peripheral artery disease, varicose veins, spider veins, lymphedema, diabetic feet, and dialysis access procedures. His wide scope of practice means he is highly experienced within his field, leading to excellent outcomes for his patients.

Dr Shahbazi has an MD and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. He also has a CCT from the UK and has completed his certification in Surgical Leadership from Harvard University, USA. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at UAE University College of Medicine.

He has presented at a number of national and international conferences and is a member of multiple prestigious societies including the European Society of Vascular Surgery, the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland, Vascular Access Society of Great Britain and Ireland, Critical Limb Ischemia Global Society and the British Association of Sclerotherapy.

Dr Shahbazi speaks English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi.
