I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma last April 2022. It was just this one morning when I felt something on my left shoulder. I thought it was nothing, but still I went to the hospital and had my check-up. The first hospital that I went to asked for so many medical tests, but they are still not sure what it was, and everything got delayed. Then my colleague encouraged me to go and meet this one doctor in Zulekha Hospital, AL Nadha, Dr. Bharadwaj. They told me that he is the best Oncology Doctor in Dubai, and I agree with them indeed he is. The first day we’ve met, he had me checked, and right on that spot he was so certain that it was not a normal mass. So, Dr B(I call him B) scheduled me for the biopsy, and he told me that whatever the outcome, I will be fine. So, I received the devastating result in April, That it was a lymphoma. My world shattered 😊. I was so scared to tell my family especially my kids. But Dr Bharadwaj told me to tell my situation to my family and cry together. He said, Vanessa cry as much as you can, let it all out and I did. It helped me and my family to easily accept my situation. After a week, I’ve met him again and the first thing he asked me, “Are you done crying?’ I said yes, and we laughed. That was the last time I cried about my situation, as I know from the start that I am in good hands. Before my treatment started, he told me a phrase that I will never forget. “You trust God, You trust me and you will be fine.” And here I am now, OUT OF CANCER after 12 cycles, three PET scans, Biopsy operation, CT scans, and MR scan. I am so grateful with all the staff of Zulekha Hospital, most especially Dr Bharadwaj. I can’t find the right word to describe him. He is amazing in what he does. During my treatment, he was not just my doctor, but he treated me as a family. Every time I visited the hospital, I don’t feel like I am in the hospital, I felt like I am just relaxing at home being pampered by the nurses and doctor but with injections 😊 I would highly recommend or refer Dr Bharadwaj to anyone who has this kind of disease as he is AMAZING at what he does. Dr B, thank you for everything you’ve done for me, thank you won’t be enough. You will always be in my prayers, may God extend your life and give you good health always so you will still help many others patients who have cancer.
