Dr Ahmed Zaki is an orthopedic surgeon at Prime Medical Center. He is experienced in trauma surgery using internal and external fixations such as the limb reconstruction system and the Ilizarov apparatus. He has particular expertise in trauma in fracture of the upper and lower limbs, arthroscopic management of shoulder problems and sports injures (such as meniscal injury, ACL injury, PCL, and cartilage injury), pediatric orthopedics, management of degenerative diseases of the joints and spine, and acute and chronic back, shoulder, and knee problems.

Dr Zaki gained his MBBCh from Ain Shams University in Cairo before completing a master's degree in orthopedic and trauma. His master's degree research focuses on modern modalities in knee osteoarthritis treatment. Dr Zaki also spent time doing rotational training at Ain Shams University in the areas of arthroplasty, sports injuries, spine surgery, pediatric orthopaedics, hand surgery, and trauma. Following this, he gained a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and limb reconstruction. Dr Zaki also completed his basic and advanced trauma training at the AO Foundation in Switzerland

Dr Zaki is also a regular writer in the medical section of Al Khaleej newspaper in the UAE. He is also a member of a number of societies including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the AO Trauma (Switzerland), and the Egyptian Orthopedic Association and Emirates Orthopedic Society.
