Dr Bohaira Elgeyoushi is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in Reproductive Medicine and Fertility based in Dubai. She currently sees patients at Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital, Medcare Medical Centre Jumeirah and HealthPlus Fertility Dubai.
She completed her medical degree at Ain Shams University, Egypt in 1989 and moved to the UK shortly after. After moving to the UK, she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1997. In 2002 she was awarded her medical doctorate by the University of Southampton for her research work surrounding women's reproductive healthcare. She also became a Fellow of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare in the same year.
She was first appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 2009 at the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust in the UK. During her time in the NHS, Dr Elgeyoushi was also the Fertility Lead and an IVF Specialist. After 6 years in the UK, Dr Elgeyoushi moved to the UAE and began practicing as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Dubai. Prior to her current positions, she practiced in several reputable medical centres, including Fakih IVF Fertility Centre, Al Khayal Medical Centre and Orchid Fertility. She also held the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor at Northwestern University Chicago in the United States.
Dr Elgeyoushi is passionate about her work and uses an holistic approach to women's healthcare and fertility management. She strongly believes in empowering women to make informed decisions about their health through medical education and knowledge and strives to help women understand their fertility in order to do so.
Dr Elgeyoushi is skilled in managing gynaecological conditions using various surgical techniques, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. She sees women with menstrual problems, pregnant women, menopausal women and women struggling with inferility/subfertility.
