I had visited dr shalini during my elder son 3 yrs back but couldnt get the delivery experience as I decided to deliver in my home town.since then I developed a trust on her that if ever i plan for second baby i will not even have a second thought in choosing my gynecologist and i concieved again in july 2023. I started visiting her and as expected she was there for me for all the doubts and queries i had. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and she would monitor it like a mother and sometimes scold me also for not controlling on diet but she ensured without any medication i was able to control my sugar lever with healthy diet.she made me so comfortable that without any hitch i could ask her all my doubts.Everything was going well until 26 weeks when i suddenly felt pain in my abdomen and we rushed to the nearby hospital as we had moved to abu dhabi and emirates speciality hospital was almost around 80 kms.when we went there things went upside down as the doctor in emergency did the scan and said my cervix length has become short and they referred me to Latifa hospital as they said i can deliver anytime now and they do not have special care unit for the preterm babies. I called dr shalini immediately and explained her the whole situation, she assured me not to worry and tell the doctor to give me progesterone injection but the hospital refused and finally after so much hustle at the hosp we decided to go to emirates speciality hospital after speaking to dr shalini. To my surprise the moment we went there all the emergency staff was aware of my arrival as dr shalini informed them in advance which made everything so smooth as we spent almost 5 hrs in the other hospital in worry and tension. They gave me medication and i was sent home since then I decided no matter how far the hospital is but I will not change the doctor. Dr shalini assured me that i will be able to take my pregnancy until 34 weeks atleast. This gave me lot of strength and confidence that i am in right hands. weeks passed and guess what i delivered in 37 weeks 5 days that too vaginal delivery and shortest labour. The reason i wrote my entire story is to tell all the pregnant ladies that sometimes all you need is right guidance and things can turn around easily. Once again ,thank you dr shalini for being part of my pregnancy journey and making is so smooth and hassle free. I highly recommend her as she is the best gynac in town. Please do continue doing what you do for all your patients.Loads of love and blessings to you.
