Dr Charles Nagy is the first surgeon in the Middle East and the second globally, to be accredited and recognized by the SRC as a Master Surgeon in multidisciplinary Endometriosis care.
He currently practices at Medcare Women and Children Hospital in Dubai as the head of a multidisciplinary endometriosis centre but has worked at hospitals all over the world. Dr Nagy has a long list of impressive credentials and experience of over 20 years of specialization in Endometriosis. He is on the General Medical Council GMC Specialist Register and a member of the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO), the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE), the European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE) and the Academy of MedicalEducators. He is associated with the European Association of Endoscopic Surgeons (EAES), the British Society for Gynaecological Imaging (BSGI), the British Fertility Society (BFS), British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP).
His recent collaboration with Sheba Medical Center, the largest hospital in Israel and amongst the top 10 globally reinforces his commitment towards creating a world-class Endometriosis treatment facility.
Furthermore to his considerable and notable experience, he was a clinical research fellow for pelvic floor surgery at Benenden Hospital, Kent, UK, then senior house officer and acting Registrar at Whipps Cross University Hospital, London. He was Specialist Registrar, Leighton hospital, Crew and at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals both in the UK. He has held the esteemed position of consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, Burnley and at Lancashire University Teaching Hospital, Preston, UK.
Laparoscopic procedures are his forte and these include advanced excision of deep infiltrating endometriosis for treatment of infertility and pelvic pain, ovarian cystectomy, multiple myomectomy, treatment of ectopic pregnancy, total and subtotal hysterectomy, tubal microsurgery for the treatment of infertility, investigation, and treatment of chronic pelvic pain, polycystic ovarian syndrome and pelvic adhesions. Dr Rafael is proficient in the treatment of reproductive cancers and hysteroscopic procedures like resection of uterine septum, myomectomy, endometrial resection TCRE (treatment of heavy uterine bleeding without (hysterectomy), and tubal recanalisation for infertility. He also does colposcopy for early detection of cervical and vaginal precancerous changes, LLETZ and cervical knife cone biopsy and vulvoscopy for vulval diseases.
