Dr Victor Chia

Dr Yongcheng (Victor) Chia is a consultant cardiologist with sub-specialty expertise in cardiac imaging, including transthoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography. He also holds Level A accreditation in CT Coronary Angiography, providing comprehensive non-invasive cardiac assessment tailored to individual patient needs.

Dr Chia graduated from the University of Adelaide and subsequently completed his cardiology and physician training across major South Australian hospitals, including The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre and Lyell McEwin Hospital. He further completed a dedicated clinical fellowship in echocardiography at Flinders Medical Centre.

He is committed to delivering holistic, patient-focused care with individualized management that is grounded in the latest evidence-based medicine. Dr Chia maintains an active interest in current cardiovascular research and regularly participates in local and international educational meetings to remain up to date with evolving advances in cardiology.

His special interests include preventative cardiology, valvular heart disease and cardiomyopathies.

Dr Chia currently consults at Windsor Heart & Specialist Centre and Western HeartCare. He also holds admitting rights at Calvary Adelaide Hospital while maintaining close collaborative links with public hospitals across South Australia.

Outside of medicine, Dr Chia enjoys spending time with his family and playing sports, particularly badminton.
