Dr Neela Janakiramanan is a Melbourne-trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specialises in hand and wrist surgery including nerve conditions of the upper limb, hand and wrist arthroscopy, and endoscopic carpal tunnel release. She also sees patients with general reconstructive problems including skin cancer and scar management, and she takes great pride in her attention to detail. In addition to her public appointments, Dr Janakiramanan holds private consultations at Canvas Plastic Surgery, Mornington and is soon to start at Epworth Eastern Hospital.

Dr Janakiramanan achieved her MBBS from Monash University, Australia, in 2003. Following this, she completed a two-year fellowship training programme in plastic surgery, and in 2014 she became a qualified member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). She then undertook a 12-month hand and wrist surgery fellowship at St Vincent's Hospital, before relocating overseas and gaining expertise in paediatric and adult hand surgery and major nerve surgery. In 2015, Dr Janakiramanan joined Canvas Plastic Surgery and she is currently implementing hand and wrist services at Peninsula Health and Eastern Health.

Dr Janakiramanan is a member of the Australasian College of Surgeons as well as the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons.
